The product is fed to the machine via a feeding chute, after which several operations are carried out on the fish, as the round attachment rotates one quarter of a revolution for each push on the button on the operation panel, see section 3.0 for further details. During initial operation, the occiput is sawed through with a round knife, where upon a guillotine knife tilts down to cut off the head, which then lands in the waste carrier and is transported to a box or a wagon. The next operation has the fish positioned for tail cutting (the tail-cutting feature can be connected and disconnected on the touch display).
