The RVS Windshifter is a machine designed by Senro for the separation
of light and heavy materials in waste streams.
- Throughput capacity: up to 40 t/h (depending on material)
- Material size range: 0-150 mm
- Air volume: up to 40,000 m³/h
- Separation range: from 0.1 to 5.0 kg/dm³
- Power consumption: 30 kW (average)
- Machine dimensions (L x W x H): 8.2 m x 2.5 m x 4.1 m
- Weight: approximately 15,000 kg
The RVS Windshifter works by using a combination of air flow and
vibration to separate light materials such as plastics, paper, and
film from heavier materials such as stones, metals, and glass. The
machine consists of a feed hopper, vibrating feeder, air separator,
and discharge chute.
The vibrating feeder evenly distributes the material onto a conveyor
belt, which feeds the material into the air separator. Inside the air
separator, the material is exposed to a high-velocity air flow, which
causes the lighter materials to be lifted and carried away from the
heavier materials. The lighter materials are then transported to a
separate discharge chute, while the heavier materials continue along
the conveyor belt.
The RVS Windshifter is suitable for a wide range of waste streams,
including construction and demolition waste, commercial and industrial
waste, and municipal solid waste. It is particularly effective in
separating lightweight plastics and other recyclable materials from
heavier waste streams, allowing for more efficient sorting and
recovery of valuable materials.
